 The Author  Behind The Book

Born from a combination of the author’s passion for travel and her celiac disease, this book has been designed as a comprehensive guide to gluten-free dining around Europe.

Meet  Emily

As someone who loves traveling and exploring new foods and cultures, Emily has always wanted a guide that would allow her to enjoy local cuisine without having to spend hours researching which foods would be safe.

After being diagnosed with celiac disease in 2017, Emily feared that she would miss out on experiencing countries through their food, which she believes is one of the most powerful aspects of travel. Through her journeys to over 120 countries, she has been compiling lists of safe restaurants and cuisines for fellow gluten-free eaters to enjoy on their adventures. This book is a collection of her findings that she is sharing in the hope that it might help others on their travels.

The Wider Initiative

This book is the beginning of a wider initiative in which Emily hopes to document every gluten-free restaurant first in Europe and then around the world, enabling travelers to focus on their adventures without the worry of getting sick. If you would like to be involved in our efforts, please reach out on our contact page.

Your  Feedback  Matters

Because the landscape of gluten-free restaurants changes often, Emily would be grateful for your feedback if you see information that needs to be adjusted or updated. Also, while she has done her best to ensure all restaurants are safe, please always double-check with the establishment before dining there to be safe.
